Herberg Het Onland has been on the winding Rekhemseweg from Doetinchem to Gaanderen since 1790. The name 'Onland' refers to the most soggy and unusable piece of land that could be found on the Slangenburg estate. Around 1790, 'founding father' Gerrit Hendrik Nijenhuis founded a farm annex inn there. Everyone has been more than welcome for more than 225 years in our typical Achterhoek establishment.
